This page is maintained by Competency Labs to answer common privacy questions about the waitlist for the Competency Passport.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we collect the first name and email address you submit. We do not ask for any other personal information at this stage.

Why we collect it

We use your email to send you your Competency Score, updates about the Competency Passport launch, and product news directly related to the waitlist. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

Where it's stored

Waitlist entries are stored in our backend database, protected by row-level security so only authorized administrators can read them.

Assessment data and consent

When you submit a Competency Score, simulation, or beta survey, we ask you to confirm consent so we can store your responses, scores, and feedback to provide readiness feedback and improve the beta experience. Public Passport links are off by default — you must intentionally enable a shareable link, and public links never show your email, private notes, admin notes, or raw response text.

Retention

Beta data (waitlist records, assessment responses, simulation transcripts, and Passport evidence) may be retained to provide feedback and improve the product unless you ask us to delete it.

Data protection posture

Competency Labs is designed with data protection principles in mind. We do not currently claim ISO certification, SOC 2 certification, HIPAA compliance, or GDPR compliance. See our Trust & compliance page for details.

Your choices

You can ask us to remove your information at any time by using the data deletion request form or by emailing hello@competencylabs.ai. We will delete your record within a reasonable period.

Updates

If this policy changes materially before launch, we will update this page and note the change here.
